Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Daymark stores on your device, what our subscription provider processes, and what we do not collect.

Daymark is a travel day tracking app published by Sedat Ates. It works without an account: you are never asked for a name, an email address, or any other direct contact information, and there is no sign-in of any kind.

Everything you record in the app stays on your iPhone. Your trips, the counters you track, your passports and home base, trip labels and notes, travel proof attachments and your settings are stored in the app's own container on the device, shared only with the Daymark widget so it can show a count on your Home Screen. We do not run a server and this data is never uploaded to us. The rules Daymark counts against ship inside the app, so it works with no internet connection.

If you choose to rebuild past travel from your photo library, the app asks for photo access. It reads only the date and location attached to each photo, on your device, in order to suggest trips for you to confirm. The images themselves are never copied out of your library and nothing is uploaded. Only the country and the dates of a suggestion you accept are saved. You can decline this and add every trip by hand instead.

Automatic trip logging is optional. When you turn it on, the app uses the low-power visit updates iOS provides to work out which country you are in and suggest a trip when you cross a border. That determination happens entirely on your device against a country boundary map bundled with the app; your coordinates are never sent to us or to anyone else, and only the resulting country and date are kept. You can turn it off at any time in the app or revoke the permission in iOS Settings.

Daymark Premium is sold through Apple, either as a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Payment is handled entirely by Apple; we never see your Apple Account credentials or your payment details. We use RevenueCat to manage purchase status, which processes a randomly generated anonymous identifier, the purchase and entitlement information Apple returns, and basic device, app version and operating system details. This is used only to determine whether Premium features are unlocked and to restore purchases. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Daymark sends local notifications only. Limit warnings and reminders are scheduled by iOS on your device, their contents are worked out on the device, and nothing is sent to a server. There is no push messaging service in the app. You can turn reminders off inside the app and revoke notification permission at any time in iOS Settings.

If you use the Lock Screen wallpaper shortcut, Daymark draws the image on your device from your current count and hands it to Apple's Shortcuts app, which sets it as your wallpaper. Nothing is uploaded. If Daymark asks you to rate it, the request is shown by Apple and Daymark never sees your rating or review.

Daymark contains no advertising, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party analytics SDK. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, so the App Tracking Transparency prompt is never shown. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not build advertising profiles.

Daymark is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland: Sedat Ates is the controller of the limited personal data described here. Because your travel data never leaves your device, we hold none of it. The only personal data processed on our behalf is the purchase information handled by RevenueCat, which is necessary to provide the Premium features you bought (performance of a contract, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). RevenueCat may process it in the United States under safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, and keeps it for as long as needed to provide and restore your purchase and to meet legal and tax obligations. You have the right to access, correct, delete or port this data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Email us to exercise any of these rights.

You remain in control. Deleting the app removes all of the data it stored on your device, and you can export your trips at any time before you do. Settings › Delete all data erases everything without deleting the app. You can change photo, location and notification permissions in iOS Settings, and manage or cancel a subscription under your Apple Account settings. To request access to or deletion of anything held by our subscription provider, email us and we will action it within 30 days.

For questions, support requests, or privacy inquiries, contact sedatates.dev@gmail.com. This policy may be updated when the app or its service providers change, and the effective date above will change with it.
